Small melon

We were in the second grocery store that day -- this is quite normal for our Saturdays now. I'm not sure if 20-year-old me would be surprised if you told him that this is something I do for fun now. I believe not, though it does confuse me now. But I love spending time like this with you. At the first grocery store, we found these massive melons, and you wanted to make a picture -- to send to your mother, who's back in Thailand. You were only here for about a week, and 'us' already felt as natural as the leaves (and their absence) on the trees. At the second grocery store, we found small melons. Again, we made a picture to send to your mom. For comparison now. I wanted to paint the picture (really only because of how cute you looked,) but after staring at it for the amount of time I have, it's hard not to see what should be obvious -- how much you miss your family. It's impossible to describe how lucky I am you gave all that up to be with me. But I am scared I can't be enough, though I'll try as long as you let me.
