Everything Is Autism

The inventor of the hammer must've hit the whole world before getting to their next thought. Yes, it's annoying, but we shouldn't be too hard on them. When you finally get a good idea, hold on to it. I get that. And if you have self-awareness, you'll get it as well (because you're just the same). And when I got my autism diagnosis -- after 23 years of suspecting I might not entirely be my peers -- it seemed like a good idea to me. I've been hammering my whole world ever since: myself countless times, my relationship -- rather, the extended absence of one, and other social relationships. I've hit the food I like to eat, the paintings I'm obsessed with making, the little boy now grown up, my anxiety -- the difficulty working on my (school) work. And now, perhaps, you.
