I've never seen a tornado in my life. And there hasn't been an actual second I worried about encountering one.
That's not entirely true. What child doesn't look at the wind blowing the leaves and some lone trash in a circular motion and worry about what could be?
But I've grown past that, now I only complain about the trash or wind. So, instead of a story about my own tornado experience, here's a story I vaguely remember my mom telling
My mom lived in the US for some early parts of her life. While there, for some parts of that period in her life, she lived in places where the possibility of tornadoes existed.
If you know the woman, you know she seems to worry for a living. Naturally, she told me she was also worried about tornadoes. All the time. Even though the real likelihood was not worth worrying about.
The one day she finally realized so, a tornado would appear, with just a late warning to help her prepare, though too late, as when she looked outside, he had already come to visit.
I don't remember what happened after. But as my mom is still here, I imagine she convinced the tornado to turn around.
