Over Zen Museum

Ik hou van kunst, en ik ben een beetje geobsedeerd met het maken van meer, altijd proberen iets nieuws te maken, iets beters. Ik woon in een prachtige stad genaamd Den Bosch die me veel inspireert om kunst te maken.

An unusual (to me) family invited me to eat with this confusing device requiring what feels like six fingers to work together simultaneously to get anything in your mouth. I'm not sure how they invented the thing. And you might wonder why I decided to accept at all. Well, it was, of course, my girlfriend who invited me. She's somewhat unusual herself and wanted me to meet her family. So we went to meet her family. When we arrived, they almost immediately handed me the device and advised me to eat some of the food they had already ordered. While at the same time asking me if I wanted something to drink. I was rather thirsty, and when I bit my first piece of food, it felt like my head was melting off. For some reason, that's what these kinds of unusual people like eating as well. So now I wanted to drink something as quickly as possible. I used to drink a lot of tea and wanted to try out some, as my girlfriend had promised theirs would be pretty good, so that's what I went with. When it arrived, I was impressed by the aesthetics of the tea: it came in a beautiful cup, but when I tasted it, it was perfectly plain to me. So I inspected the tea and found it was very dull traditional tea, the same type you might get from your parents if they offer you some. But this was all a nice distraction from the anxiety of trying to impress the family, who now was also too polite to distract me from my attempt at eating & drinking.
