I went to pick up someone's aunt from the airport. She had been in another country for about 10 years. Now, don't start thinking stupid thoughts; she did live in the Netherlands but had just been away for a while.
So, I got to the airport and brought her home -- I had been warned that she was a stressful person, and now that I had met her, I understood what that meant.
But most of that isn't that interesting.
Except that the first taxi we called I had to communicate with, and I wasn't prepared besides to tell him what she asked me. When we got to him, he was unreasonably upset, and because the aunt could not turn herself off, the conflict escalated, and he refused to take her home.
However stressful she is, I agree with her -- he was silly.
So we had to get another taxi, which wasn't difficult; he arrived and decided to park in just the one spot not allowed, supposedly missing the giant sign right next to it, or perhaps just not caring.
And then, out of nowhere, a cop car stopped next to them. I'm unsure if they communicated, but they quickly left, and there wasn't any issue.
But I can still feel my heart beating at the thought of getting another taxi.
