Mine
I guess this is a love story, and before reading a story, I like knowing the author's biases. So here are mine: I'm a fraud, I don't understand feelings, and my history with non-familial love is only now starting, as I love being alone, which seems challenging to do while you're not. Anyway, I'm trying to say that I'm not necessarily well-experienced to write a love story. But it's my painting and my story, so I will, and you're free to feel about that what you want. And other than being a love story, this is more about the hard parts; a big part of the reason I love being alone is that other humans are somewhat demanding to deal with -- my family taught me that -- but over the years, I also learned that even though it's not always easy, it can be worth the effort. So at some point, I decided I wanted to make sure whether I actually prefer living alone, or if I was 'lying' to myself. I never thought I'd be okay with the conflicts and compromises, and who knows, maybe I'll look back in five years and regret the choice, but from where I'm standing, it is worth it -- look at that cute sleepy (, and angry, but you wouldn't know that) face. The thing is, I still love being alone, but now she can be there too.
