Doesn't it feel like we're about to live through some crazy history? But not only history -- probably the wildest events modern humans have seen (and ever will). Perhaps you don't follow the news, and it's just another day, another year. Well, this might not relate to you. Though maybe you've got anxiety about your personal future, it's reasonably common and similar to the topic of this art piece. Though I don't think that often has the same existential ring to it. Anyway, the effect of news, and I don't just mean 'mainstream' news, I mean following current events (in many ways, social media makes this much worse), is that it feels like we're always on the edge of (the opposite of) greatness. Well, I'm here to tell you what you hopefully already know (because who am I to make non-trivial observations): stuff may be happening, and it might be awful and absurd, but it always is -- which doesn't make it any easier, or less anxiety-inducing, but.... but nothing. I don't like when people feel like they're special when they're not. You're not unique, probably, like me, just a boring guy (person), writing boring texts and poems and making dull, unoriginal (yet beautiful, to me at least) art. For free (wow, what an edgy text you made here. Surely this will change lives.)
